Research Seminar

The Kirq test bed, an innovation tool for quantum-resilient networks

A seminar by Emmanuel Calvet (Numana), presented by IMC2

For its May research seminar, IMC2 had the pleasure of hosting Emmanuel Calvet, Systems Architect at Numana, for an insightful presentation on the resilience of networks in the face of quantum technology.

Summary:

The digital infrastructure of society relies on robust and reliable data encryption. Current telecommunications networks protect data exchange locally as well as globally. However, the development of quantum computers poses a risk to existing encryption technologies. How can we make our networks resilient to the quantum threat? Responding to quantum with quantum? Experimenting with new technologies and validating them within a test bench framework can prove to be a valuable innovation tool in a comprehensive approach to cyber resilience.
